New work for solo guitar »
The Artshall at The Shipyard in Tórshavn was packed with people when Ólavur Jakobsen gave the world première of new guitar piece by Faroese composer Kári Bæk. The work is an imaginery promanade at an exhibition featuring some well-known paintings by famous Fareose artists Torbjørn Olsen, Ingálvur av Reyni, Frimod Joensen and S.J. Mikines.
The guitar piece is commissioned by and written to Ólavur Jakobsen and is the first lage-scale guitar work the composer has written.

The new work will feature on the new album with Faroese guitar music Ólavur Jakobsen currently is working on.
The performance was part of the Autmn Concert 2009 featuring soloists from the ensemble Aldubáran.
